I’m PJ Trautman, the Designated Managing Broker of Trautman Real Estate Agency & Appraisal and the 2023 President of the Champaign County Association of REALTORS®. Born and raised in Champaign/Urbana, I began my real estate career by obtaining my appraisal license in 2006, followed by my Illinois broker license in 2008 and my managing broker’s license in 2015.
In 2023, I founded Trautman Real Estate Agency & Appraisal, a full-service brokerage, and I also own Trautman Real Estate Appraisal Services, LLC, with offices in Champaign and Chicago. My expertise spans residential sales, residential appraisals, long-term rentals, property management, and short-term/vacation rental management. Additionally, I hold a real estate broker and appraiser license in Florida.
I have been deeply involved in the real estate community, serving on numerous CCAR committees and as a Major Investor in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) since 2014. I am the founder and creator of the CCAR Leadership Academy, which launched during my presidency in 2023 as the first-ever leadership development program for our association.
Beyond my brokerage, I am an active member of Illinois REALTORS®, a graduate of the Illinois REALTORS® Leadership Development Academy, and a participant in the United Way Emerging Community Leaders Program. Since 2017, I have also served on the City of Champaign Planning Commission, contributing to the growth and development of our community.
Additionally, I am a Preferred Unit Owner of Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) MLS, demonstrating my commitment to staying at the forefront of real estate technology and market intelligence.
